If you find yourself often thinking about whether or not your spouse is really the right person for you, as many married-with-children-types often do, I’ve got bad news: You’re already … Read more…
How much does the Raising Happiness Class cost?
Class costs vary – check out our Class Catalog for fees. Scholarships are available.
If the Class doesn’t work out for me, how do I get a refund?
We invite you to take any Raising Happiness Class for 30 days; if you’ve done the weekly practices and do not feel you are getting anything valuable out of it, we’ll happily refund your money. IMPORTANT: We require your completed homework before we refund your money. Why? Because we’re confident that if you practice what you learn in the Raising Happiness Class, you’ll get a lot out of it — if you don’t, we’ll quickly refund your money. We’re here to serve the parents and participants that are able to benefit from what we offer; moreover, we stand behind the integrity and value of the Raising Happiness Classes.
How can I create a Raising Happiness discussion group?
(1) Ask your spouse, friends, other parents from your child’s school or church, and/or neighbors to join you in taking the Raising Happiness Class online.
(2) Choose a regular time to meet monthly (i.e. first Wednesday of the month) to discuss the Class materials. We provide discussion guides for you.
(3) Decide who will lead the discussion each month. Many groups switch locations monthly, too.
(4) If you sign up with a partner or a group we’ll donate 10% of each group member’s tuition. Fill out this form to let us know who is in your group so we can make a donation to the school or organization you choose.
Does each person in the discussion group have to sign up for the Class and pay individually?
Yes. Each class participant enrolls and pays separately. If your whole parenting group is not interested in enrolling in the class, you may still use the discussion questions we provide, but we ask that you not distribute the video classes, emails, or podcasts. If cost is an issue, scholarships are available.
What is the time commitment for the Class?
Each weekly video is approximately 20 minutes. You’ll also be given a weekly practice, which can be integrated into your daily life and so usually won’t take much extra time — many practices actually SAVE you time. You may also want to spend time doing the short readings each week, and participating in the live phone calls and online discussions.
Is the class appropriate for parents of teens?
Yes! It is appropriate for all parents, even grandparents, who want to develop the skills needed to be a happier parent and more joyful individual. In addition to becoming happier ourselves, we work on how to teach happiness skills to the people we care about most: usually, our children and grandchildren. Adolescents DO have special developmental needs, especially emotionally; these needs are addressed throughout the Raising Happiness Class.
